This course is suited for participants who are going to train and provide ongoing support to work colleagues in the workplace, more so in a one-on-one situation.
People credited with this unit standard are able to train colleagues in the workplace.
Please bring along your ID - We need to verify the identity of students in attendance, please bring ID with you on the day of training.
Key Learning Outcomes:
This course is delivered via a one-day workshop.
The workshop entails:
- How to determine the skills and knowledge that your team members need.
- How to conduct on-job training and support/ (supervision/peer training/mentoring) a team member.
- The workshop will include interactive activities for participants to enjoy and leave the workshop understanding the importance of creating a positive learning environment, considering cultural safety of others, different learning styles, how to cater for different personality types.
What does the assessment entail?
- Minimal theory writing where some answers may be completed in the workshop, but others will need to be completed after the practical task.
- Organisation attestation.
- Learners will have 12 weeks to complete and submit a [portfolio of evidence.
Entry Criteria:
All students are required to have a level of written and oral English equivalent to NCEA level 1 (year 11) or IELTS 5.5 or higher, to be eligible to attend our courses. The person responsible for making bookings or authorising attendance on the course must agree to these Terms and Conditions prior to acceptance of their student(s) onto the course. Where a student does not meet our English language requirement a reader/writer must be supplied by the student or the person responsible for authorising the student’s attendance. The reader/writer cannot be another student attending the same course.
