Health & Safety Trainer

Safety 'n Action is seeking professional safety trainers to keep up with the industry growth. Our trainers are highly experienced and practical people. They all have a shared passion in providing their students with the knowledge and tools needed to incorporate sound safety practices into everyday decisions and activities.

This role is training Adults and High School aged children.

A Health and Safety Trainer is required to undertake advisory services and deliver health and safety training of a high standard to our customers. They are also required to undertake all necessary administrative duties, including processing training related documentation such as evaluations and assessments. Trainers are provided with set targets for upskilling and sign off relating to Safety 'n Action product delivery.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
  • Background in a formal trade, manufacturing, armed or emergency services would be desirable
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
  • Some level of training certification or NZQA assessment desirable
  • Able to apply relevant/previous experience in the classroom
  • A passion for training and passing on your knowledge and skills
  • Qualification in Health and Safety would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience in training/teaching

Sales Representative - Morrinsville (Contract)


We’re on the lookout for a confident, motivated sales professional to represent Safety 'n Action in Morrinsville. This is a contract role with flexibility to suit part-time or full-time availability – and it’s perfect for someone who thrives on building local connections and has the drive to turn conversations into results.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients and uncovering new opportunities for health and safety training in the community. With uncapped earning potential and plenty of autonomy, this role rewards initiative and local knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
  • The ability to connect with a wide range of people and build long-term partnerships
  • Self-motivation and a high level of personal accountability
  • Confidence in phone-based and face-to-face conversations
  • Local knowledge of Morrinsville and the surrounding area (highly desirable)
  • Flexibility to work part-time or full-time hours depending on your availability
  • A current full NZ Driver Licence
  • New Zealand residency or a valid work visa
  • Willingness to work on a commission-only contract basis

There’s no cap on earnings – it’s ideal for someone who backs their own hustle. Even on a part-time basis, $60k+ is achievable.

This contract role is perfect for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, takes pride in their local knowledge, and is confident spotting opportunities and turning them into business.

You'll be managing existing client relationships and growing our reach – all while promoting training that genuinely makes a difference to safety and productivity in workplaces across the region. Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time hours, there's excellent earning potential through commission, backed by nationwide support and proven systems.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven experience in business development, account management, or a sales-focused role
  • The ability to build trust and long-term relationships with a wide range of people
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills – comfortable on the phone and in person
  • Local knowledge and existing networks in the Southland region (highly desirable)
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • A current full NZ Driver Licence
  • New Zealand residency or a valid work visa
  • Willingness to work on a contract basis

  • Has experience with CRM systems and/or in the training or health and safety sector (ideal but not essential)
  • A full NZ Driver Licence and legal right to work in New Zealand
