VR Conflict De-Escalation Training
With increasing levels of aggressive and violent behavior towards frontline staff, navigating health and safety wellbeing compliance and governance has never been more challenging. It’s now more important than ever to equip frontline staff with proven strategies to de-escalate and stay safe in conflict situations.
Safety 'n Action are backed by several years of practical in-person and online training delivered to the healthcare sector, construction, retail and general front-line services sectors.
Putting the learner front and center while removing risk
This immersive experience moves the learner from taking a back seat to learning and propels them to be a leading role in the story. With the use of Virtual Reality, we are able to offer up scenarios that mimic real-life experiences to better equip your team members with the skills to look for cues and de-escalate potential high-risk situations.
We are offering this training at client sites and from our select locations throughout the country. Booked for Groups of up to 12, during the half-day session your people will take part in practical Virtual Reality training in teams of three with a facilitator there to guide them and offer troubleshooting support every step of the way.
Training cost: $2,499 excl GST per group of up to 12 people (delivered across a half-day booking).
Eligibility: All team members are welcome, there is no entry criteria for this training.
Please bring along your ID - We need to verify the identity of students in attendance, please bring your ID with you on the day of training.
Learn the signs of imminent violence, when to escape to safety, and how their actions can change the course of the interaction.
Understand and demonstrate how to self-manage their tones and gestures to facilitate de-escalation and escape a situation immediately when they identify violence.
Gain a clear understanding that their safety and the safety of those around them is the most important thing in a conflict situation.
All students are required to have a level of written and oral English equivalent to NCEA level 1 (year 11) or IELTS 5.5 or higher, to be eligible to attend our courses. The person responsible for making bookings or authorising attendance on the course must agree to these Terms and Conditions prior to acceptance of their student(s) onto the course. Where a student does not meet our English language requirement a reader/writer must be supplied by the student or the person responsible for authorising the student’s attendance. The reader/writer cannot be another student attending the same course.
